Three easy steps for a clean toilet:
Step 1
Call our help line on 011 375 5555 and make an appointment.
Step 2
Ensure that the toilet is damp, if it is dry then add water. The dampness enables the vacuum tankers to extract all the sludge from the toilet.
N.B: Please don’t dump coats, tins, bottles into your system, as it will make desludging
impossible.
Step 3
After you have set an appointment with Johannesburg Water ensure that someone is at home. If no one is at home Johannesburg Water will not be able to carry out the service.
N.B:
- No monies must be paid to vacuum tanker drivers.
- Do not sign service reques/ work orders if you are not happy with the service rendered.
- Report any irregularities as soon as possible, for example; taking down the number plate of the vacuum tanker, date and time.
- When reporting your toilet, make sure you give the correct details, for example; stand number, extensions, whether it is a septic tank, aqua privy, pit letrine, etc.
- Please ensure that your that your stand number appear on your house so that the Johannesburg Water teams can identify them easily.
- Teams will drain 3 kilolitre at a time for those residents with septic tanks.
- Please ensure that there is someone at home to observe the proceeding.
